LOC Hispanic Division Presents: Maraton De Poesia del Teatro de la Luna this Friday

On Friday, June 6th at 1:30 PM the Hispanic Division will host the Poetry Marathon, which has become an esteemed tradition of the Library. The event will be held in the Mary Pickford Theater of the Library of Congress (James Madison Building, 3rd floor, 101 Independence Ave. SE, Washington, DC). The Poetry Marathon is a Spanish-language poetry reading gathering poets predominantly from the Hispanic world. This event is hosted on a yearly basis by the Teatro de la Luna in Arlington, VA, and here at the Library of Congress.

The following will be the poets featured in the 22nd gathering: Jose M. Prieto (Spain), Margarito Cuellar (Mexico), Ana Cecilia Blum (Ecuador), Eugenia Munoz (Colombia), Enrique Solinas (Argentina), Zingonia Zingone (Costa Rica/Italy), Basilio Belliard (Dominican Republic), Indran Amirthanayagam (Sri Lanka/US).
