9/11 Unity Walk to Take Place Sunday

Join us on Sunday, International Day of Peace, as we walk together, learn together and serve together.

This year’s program features three exciting service partnerships, The White House President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus ChallengeDay to Serve, and MakeSpace

New to our program this year, we are pleased to welcome Jack Gordon, producer of Faith in Action DC, and the Northwestern High School Choir.

Returning this year is Sister Jenna, Director of the Meditation Museum and host of the America Meditating Radio Show; a gleaning project of 40,000 pounds of potatoes organized by the Society of St. Andrew; and a service project for the homeless community hosted at the Embassy of the Vatican.

Of course, the traditions of the Unity Walk continue with an Open House portion of a wide variety of faith-based and conscious communities along embassy row; free food, served in the spirit of breaking bread with one another; and stunning experiences of everyday people and faith leaders coming together to share and learn about one another.

Washington Hebrew will open at 12pm for registration and the Interfaith Expo. The Interfaith Expo is a chance for you to meet some of the organizations working together in our region and city.

The opening program begins in the Washington Hebrew sanctuary at 1:30pm and the walk starts at 2pm. For more details about the program visit our website.

Registration is now open.

If you can’t attend in person, join us via live stream for the opening program at Washington Hebrew and the second program at the Islamic Center
