This Weekend: Romanian Food Festival, 7th Edition

Come to our Romanian Food Festival, 7th Edition: 15-17 May, 2015

We warmly invite everyone to join us in celebrating our heritage and culture. Prepare to taste ethnic dishes, including succulent homemade skinless sausages, called “mititei”, and the traditional meat stuffed cabbage rolls, called “sarmale“. Toast the day with select Romanian wines, beer or Transylvania-made “palinca“, and indulge in delicious homemade sweets and pastries, prepared by our Romanian ladies using recipes passed down from generation to generation. Savor all these delicacies, while listening to centuries-old Romanian authentic ballads or enjoying live traditional folk music and dance performances by various folk dance groups.

Guests can pose for photos with our roaming historical princes and heroes like Vlad the Impaler (known as “Dracula“) and Stephen the Great. The festival also includes a Kids Zone filled with a moon bounce, petting zoo, glitter tattoo artists and more! In addition, a Silent Auction and several raffle drawings will take place throughout the weekend.  A traditional folk and faith exhibit will be open during the festival, enabeling the visitors to learn more about our ancestral orthodox religion, tumultuous history, folk costumes, pottery and much more!
