Photo Montage: Annandale Fall Parade Featuring Folkloric Dances of Bolivia

The annual Annandale Fall Parade took place this past Saturday as thousands of spectators lined Columbia Pike to enjoy two hours of clowns, storybook characters and marching bands as well as antique and military autos, fire trucks and police cars, civic organizations and scouts. The highlight of the parade was the colorful costumes and dancing presented by several Bolivian folkloric dance groups. The Bolivian community is very large in Annandale and Northern Virginia and Bolivian dance groups continue to be a fixture and crowd favorite at several parades in our area throughout the year.

The parade dates back to the 1950’s and is sponsored by the Annandale Chamber of Commerce.
