Washington Folk Festival: A Showcase of Artists Worldwide Residing in Metropolitan DC Area

The 36th Annual Washington Folk Festival continues today at GlenEcho Park in Glen Echo, MD. The two-day event is free and runs from noon to 7 pm, rain or shine.

The festival showcases American and international musicians, storytellers, dancers and crafters who reside in the greater Washington area. Visitors can make their way between seven stages throughout the park and enjoy many music traditions found in America including blues, bluegrass, country, gospel, rockabilly and swing. Festival-goers can also savor music and dance from Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
