Registration for DPR Spring Break Camp Begins Monday, March 20, 2017

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) announced today that 2017 Spring Break Camp registration will open on Monday, March 20 at noon. DPR offers full-day Spring Break Camps for children, ages 3 to 5, 6 to 12, and 8 to 13 years old, during DC Public Schools’ (DCPS) Spring Break, which will be held Tuesday, April 18 through Friday, April 21, 2017 from 9 am to 5 pm.  DPR provides youth with a variety of structured games, sports, character-education exercises, and arts and crafts. Our goal is to plant the seeds of personal development and environmental responsibility in a fun and engaging recreation setting.

Before and after care will not be offered for the 2017 Spring Break Camp. Breakfast and lunch are not provided. Please plan to send your child with a lunch each day and an afternoon snack. In an effort to be mindful of allergies, please refrain from sending your child with any peanut or other nut products. Participants should wear comfortable clothes and sneakers. It is also recommended that campers bring a reusable water bottle.

Parents/guardians are asked to fill out and bring the attached mandatory form on the first day of Spring Break Camp.  The Spring Break Camp – Program Participation Waiver is required for each camper.  Please be sure to turn in this form on the first day of camp.

To register, please visit DPR’s Spring Break Camp page for the 2017 registration links. Please note that spaces fill up on a first-come, first-served basis and enrollment is subject to availability. Parents are encouraged to create an online DPR account for all members of their family in DPR’s registration system before the registration period in order to be prepared.
