Passport DC and Around the World Embassy Tour take place in less than two weeks!

Wow! Now is the time that we get a bit frantic. Will everything be in order? Can we accommodate all of the participants? Will the embassies be ready to welcome thousands of visitors? Will there be enough volunteers at each embassy? What can we do to make this year’s Passport DC, our 10th, more special?

As of this morning, we have 42 embassies registered to participate in Around the World Embassy Tour (AWET) on Saturday, May 6More are preparing their documents and I expect that their names will join those posted on our website soon. Again this year, we’ll have Information Stations at Dupont Circle, Van Ness/UDC, and at Flower Mart on the grounds of the National Cathedral. While most ambassadors welcome visitors to their embassies as they would tourists to their countries, some embassies are too small to accommodate the crowds. This year, we plan to offer those embassies a very special showcase that we will share with you next week.
