OCBA is a nonprofit institution working within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area to assist members of the Latin-American communities with social and cultural needs. With an emphasis on Bolivian folklore, OCBA aims to help children, teens and young adults foster those qualities needed to develop a new and better future for themselves. This is done through dance practices, educational lectures, dance performances as well as other cultural activities.

The Salay dance is one of many traditional Bolivian folkloric dances. It originated in Villa Serrano in the Department of Chuquisaca in Bolivia. Those who dance Salay master fast steps in unison with others. According to some, it has changed over years and now dances to “chicosces”.

Those groups participating are: Salay Cochabamba VA, USA, 100% Salay USA and Salay Bolivia USA.
