Photo Montage: Witness the Galantry and Passion of Bolivia’s Tradition of Honoring Saints

Bolivia is renown for its fiestas held throughout the year from grand ones in major cities to smaller ones in outlying villages. Dance groups representing the various folklore showcase their region of the country dressed in colorful outfits with many hours of an “entrada” (entry).¬†It is a tradition of honoring the saints.

FestivalDC founder and photographer George Newcomb recently spent two weeks in Sucre, Bolivia to witness the pageantry and passion of Bolivians from all over the country converging onto Sucre to honor the “Virgen de Guadalupe”. Please enjoy the photos.
