An Open Invitation to Artists and Art Enthusiasts to Attend a Kathak Performance by Renowned Artists Hari & Chethana in D.C Metro Area

It is a pleasure to invite you for a Kathak dance presentation “Samarpan” by Gurus Sri Hari and Smt Chethana on 6th October ’18 at the Bender JCC of Greater Washington. The tickets are now available for purchase here:

SAMARPAN is based on pure Kathak repertoire showcasing intricate Kathak techniques and deep moods of emotions which are weaved together bringing a harmony. Incorporating brisk rhythmic patterns of footwork, mesmerizing formations and graceful choreography to vibrant music, this production showcases the dancers agility and razor sharp movements while creating spectacular visuals for the audience.

Hari & Chethana are one of India’s foremost classical Indian dancers, who have received their training by renowned dance Gurus and exponents. They have been working in the field of dance for the last 20 years as performers, choreographers & teachers. With their premier dance institution Noopur Performing Art Center established in Bangalore-India and now at The Hague- Netherlands, Hari & Chethana curate cutting edge dance productions that have been featured globally and received wide critical acclaim.

Their choreographic works incorporate an extraordinary range of expressions from deep Indian classics to the contemporary. The duo are empaneled performing artists at the ICCR, Indian Council of Cultural affairs that comes under the Ministry of External affairs Govt of India. They have rendered performances all over the globe at various prestigious International Dance platforms including Kennedy Art Center(D.C), Korzo Theater (Netherlands), Musee Guimet (Paris) to name a few. For the past 5 years, they have been working closely with the Artistic Director of Korzo Theatre, Leo Spreksel and have presented various productions with him all over Europe.
