Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrated at 15th Manassas Latino Festival

In a great tribute to Hispanic culture, the 2018 Manassas Latino Festival was launched with great success! In a beautiful display of culture the festival featured traditional dancers and singers representing a variety of Latino countries. The event was not only a celebration of culture but presented a window to Latinos and non-Latinos alike into the richness and diversity of Hispanic traditions from many Central and South American countries. To complement the entertainment, the festival offered a wide selection of food from various Latin American countries.

From the grand opening performance by Candela Mix to the final performance by Dayan Aldana and CAN, the audience was riveted by each presentation, including Iniciativa Folclorica Costarricense, Mariachi Los Amigos, Morenada Transpeco USA, La Hora Loca and Candela Mix. It was also the sponsors who made the event possible, including NFM Lending, Rafael Lazo of Imparcial News, Infosenter Realty, Campos International Group, Infosenter Realty.

The event was also an opportunity for political parties to speak to the audience, including candidates for Congress and local elections. Among those was Virginia’s first immigrant Hispanic woman to be elected to the Virginia House of Delegates, Elizabeth Guzman.

Jose Paiz of Guaranteed Rate, who hosted the event, stated that they look forward to the next Manassas Latino Festival after their 15th very successful celebration. With great food, dance and music, you can’t possibly go wrong.
