Turkish Festival: Double Your Pleasure this September

The American Turkish Association of DC (ATA-DC) is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Turkish Heritage Month, taking place this September in Washington DC!

September will be filled with a variety of events showcasing Turkish culture, fine arts, cuisine, fashion, and connections with the American people. The Turkish Heritage Month is organized by ATA-DC in partnership with Turkish Airlines, Tysons Corner Center, Turkish Culture and Tourism Counselor`s Office, DC Shorts Film Festival, Cultural Tourism DC, Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi, Yeditepe University and Williams-Sonoma, and has been officially proclaimed by Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley and DC Mayor Vincent Gray. 

This September, thousands will attend two festivals to savor and enjoy the rich Turkish culture. For the third year in a row, readers of the Washington City Paper named the 2013 Turkish Festival “Best Cultural Festival” in Washington DC.

The 12th Turkish Festival is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2014 and will take place from 11 AM to 7 PM on Pennsylvania Avenue NW, between 12th and 14th streets.

 

Turkish Festival at Tysons Corner Center – Sep 12-14, 2014

In partnership with Tysons Corner Center and Turkish Airlines, we are proud to announce the Turkish Heritage Weekend in McLean! The event will take place in the brand new, spectacular Tysons Corner Center Plaza with an exciting opening ceremony, live music and folk dancing, outdoor movie screenings, a traditional bazaar, Turkish cuisine, Turkish coffee & fortune telling and a special “Journey to Istanbul” fashion show.

Turkish Heritage Weekend is scheduled for September 12-14, 2014 and will take place at the Tysons Corner Center Plaza in McLean, VA.
