As part of the National Children’s Museum’s previously announced relocation to Washington, DC, NCM today announced that many of the museum’s highly touted exhibits will temporarily be housed in multiple District of Columbia Public Libraries (DCPL) providing opportunities for the museum’s exhibits and programming to continue to reach children across DC throughout 2015. Look for further details on this exciting new partnership to be released soon.

By moving back to DC, NCM expects to increase accessibility and program space, both of which have previously presented challenges to fulfilling the museum’s mission.
The search for a new location inside the District is well underway, and a Request for Proposals has been issued to real estate developers, agents and brokers in DC. Top priorities for the new museum location include adequate space for exhibits, educational programming and administrative offices and close proximity to public transportation.
NCM will continue to provide programming at such events as the NBC4 Health and Fitness Expo, National Cherry Blossom Festival,White House Easter Egg Roll and much more.
