Every year since July 27, 2008, Remember727 has commemorated the Korean War Armistice Day on which the ceasefire treaty was signed on July 27, 1953. Join us as we remember the “Forgotten War,” honor Korean War veterans and hope for peace on the Korean Peninsula, and wherever conflict persists.
This year, as America marks the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War (which followed soon after the Korean War), we will also pay special tribute to Vietnam War veterans, including 50,000 Korean soldiers who fought alongside Americans, and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese who were impacted.
There will be special performances and speeches throughout the program. Bring your entire family and friends to visit the Korean War and Vietnam War Memorials, recognize the cost of freedom, and reflect on war and peace.
Carnations and candles will be provided for the wreath-laying and candle-lighting, as well as water and light snack.
Meet rain or shine.
