The 9th Annual Chinese New Year Festival will be on Saturday, Feb. 6th, 2016. Snowdate is Saturday, Feb. 13th. (event will only be postponed if Fairfax County closes all schools)
2016 is the Year of the Monkey. We’d like to promote Wisdom in our community.
In China, Children always look forward to the New Year. Why? Because this is the most exciting moment. Kids are thinking, “We will get lucky money, we will get new clothes, of course a lot of delicious food to eat, and there will be all kinds of entertainment.” Now, you will get all of that at our Chinese New Year Festival this Saturday and more.

Live Performances:
Dragon and Lion stage dance all day and parade at 2pm;
Han Couture Show, Folk songs
Teen boy’s Sword dance, Mongolian dance;
Girl’s Kerchief, Lotus, long sleeve dance, Chinese traditional instrument, dance from Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, India and more.
Asian Food, Chinese children games. You will be surprised by the games we prepared for you!
Exibition booths include Chinese Crafts. Don’t forget to bring cash. Some crafts cannot be found anywhere else. Some examples include: Chinese Archery; Dragon, Lantern and more. We want to keep some secret for you to discover during the event
We also have many culture education programs, Chinese writing, learning greetings, write your Chinese name, and hand crafts you can make.
We also have games for adults. Feb. 14th is also Valentine’s day. If you didn’t book your whole day, come by the festival for a lot of fun.
