Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser and members of her administration led the Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade this morning along Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue, SE to honor the memory of the slain Civil Rights leader and call upon residents of the district and beyond to continue striving to fulfill his dream of justice, freedom and dignity for all.
The administration called today’s parade an honor to “a great American hero in the nation’s capitol of a country that will be forever be changed by his legacy”.
Several city private and public agencies participated in the parade along with several politicians. City residents lined the street despite sub-freezing temperatures.
