The symposium will focus on the historic, commercial and cultural links that existed between the lands of the East African ‘Swahili’ Coast, Oman and other countries of the Middle Eastern Gulf region. The event is free and open to the public, but reservations are recommended. For reservations, email abat@loc.gov and put "Symposium Reservation" in the subject line.
