The 26th Annual Festival Boliviano will be held this Sunday, September 1st, at the Prince William County Fairgrounds in Manassas (VA). The day long event, organized by the Pro Bolivia Committee, showcases the traditional and popular culture of Bolivia with ongoing folkloric dances and an array of traditional Bolivian foods.
The festival brings together youth groups, their parents, families and friends to “show with pride” the richness and traditions of Bolivian culture. The Bolivian community in the Washington, DC area is a very rich and vibrant community.
Over 30 folkloric dance troupes will be represented. Authentic Bolivian cuisine will include Saltenas which are very popular meat pies. Also offered will be Chicharron, Pique Macho, Charque, Silpancho, Fricase as well as others.
